Lija Ditmar, Board Member

Lija, a clinical board certified social worker, actively works with children, couples and families, schools, parent groups, and other community organizations throughout northern Michigan. With over 30 years of counseling experience, Lija brings in-depth knowledge of social and interpersonal issues to CRS. She has been a Board Member since 2004.

Besides being a CRS mediator for over 10 years, Lija has been a facilitator and coach at mediator training sessions where others learn neutral, facilitative conflict resolution strategies. According to Lija, “CRS has provided me opportunities to join in with others to identify peaceful solutions to simple and complex issues. I believe two people, sitting across the table from each other, can generate agreed-upon solutions and live with them.” 

Lija is an avid hiker, cross-country skier, and world traveler.
