Terry Sanborn, Board Member

Terry, a retired Chief Operating Officer for Medex, Inc., a multi-national medical device manufacturer, brings CRS tremendous business knowledge. As a turnaround executive prior to joining Medex, Inc., Terry is also highly experienced in changing culture, and re-building and re-shaping organizations based on products and markets served. He has been a CRS Board of Directors member since 2004.

A seasoned mediator trained in the facilitative process, Terry typically volunteers from 25 to 50 hours per year during his six-month stay in Traverse City. In October, 2007, CRS presented Terry with the Peacemaker Award for his untiring dedication and passion for the process.

To Terry, volunteering in the Traverse City area is all about “… giving back to the community where I grew up after having been away from Northern Michigan for my professional working career.” Terry began mediating with CRS in 1997. Over the years, he has served on the Boards of several companies and been an active volunteer for community, school, and sports organizations.

An avid reader, Terry also enjoys golfing, kayaking, hiking and time with his grandchildren.
